Civil Structural Engineer
Join Our Innovative Team as a Civil Structural Engineer specializing in Light Gauge Steel!
Are you a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Structural Engineer with a passion for innovative design and a valid California PE license ? We're looking for an experienced professional to lead the design and analysis of light gauge steel framing systems for diverse projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.

What You'll Do:

• Design, analyze, and detail cold-formed steel structures in accordance with California Building Code (CBC), AISI, and ASCE standards.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for submittals and permitting.
• Stamp and sign structural documents as Engineer of Record for projects within California.
• Perform structural modeling using industry-leading tools like RISA, CFS, SAP2000, Revit, Telka Structures, and/or AutoCAD.
• Coordinate seamlessly with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay ahead of the curve on industry codes, materials, and best practices specific to light gauge steel systems.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide crucial construction administration support.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, providing quality control and expert technical guidance.

What You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• REQUIRED: An active California PE License (this is a must-have!).
• 5+ years of hands-on structural engineering experienc e with a strong emphasis on light gauge steel systems.
• Proficiency in relevant structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, CFS, ETABS, STAAD, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of cold-formed steel design, lateral systems, and seismic considerations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you're a team player!
• Ability to expertly manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Bonus Points for (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience with design-build delivery or coordination with panelized/prefabricated systems.
• Familiarity with DSA or OSHPD project requirements (strongly desired).
• A PE License in other states.
• An SE License (Structural Engineer - CA) is a plus, but not required.
