Job Description

Position: Office Assistant/Data Entry Clerk
Company: Gal-Son Development, Inc. 
Classification:  Nonexempt, Full-time
Salary Grade/Range : $20.00-$25.00/hour
Works with:   Accounting Team
Reports to:  Controller

Essential Functions

Office Assistant/Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities :
  • Handle incoming calls and other communications.
  • Manage filing system.
  • Greet clients and visitors as needed.
  • Perform general office clerk duties – opening mail, routing as necessary.
  • Update tenant and vendor information in a database
  • Organize existing data in a spreadsheet
  • Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records
  • Operate common office equipment, like scanner and printers, mail machine
  • Search for and investigate information contained in files
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Assist in preparation of monthly invoices
  • Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry
  • Type in data quickly and efficiently
  • Provide support across departments on an ad-hoc basis
  • Assist at a high level with office IT
  • Perform any and all duties as may be required by the Controller omitted above
Office Assistant/Data Entry Clerk Requirements:
  • High school diploma or associate’s degree.
  • Experience as an office assistant or in a related field.
  • Possess a solid understanding of office IT (troubleshooting PC issues, passwords, copier, desk phones & cellphones, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Comfortable learning new software.
  • Accurate data entry/computer skills a must.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision.
  • Have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
