What You’ll Do:

As a Territory Manager for Solar, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth through direct, face-to-face interactions with new and existing customers. Leveraging your solar industry expertise, you will serve as a trusted advisor to help customers achieve their goals while growing an account base and earning commission on all sales. This dynamic, fast-paced role offers significant earning potential for a driven, customer-centric professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Deliver exceptional customer experiences, building strong relationships that foster loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Excellence: Create sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calls, networking, tradeshows, and industry outreach.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical support and product knowledge on solar systems, components, and battery solutions for customers and colleagues.
  • Market Leadership: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and differentiate our offerings.
  • Collaboration: Partner with branch teams and field support (operations, transportation, marketing, sales enablement, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs through active listening, problem-solving, and tailored recommendations that enhance customer profitability.
  • Strategic Territory Management: Plan and prioritize activities to maximize sales potential in the Southern California market.
  • Innovation: Embrace creativity and proactive thinking to continuously improve processes, products, and customer solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key customers.
  • Provide valuable reporting and analysis within the assigned territory.
  • Drive adoption of digital solutions to enhance the customer experience.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings, industry events, and tradeshows.
  • Ensure accounts remain in good credit standing.
  • Collaborate with vendors to meet customer needs.

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven experience in the solar industry with deep product knowledge.
  • Minimum of 1 year of success in B2B sales (roofing, building products, or related industries preferred).
  • Strong customer service and consultative sales skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel and attend meetings, tradeshows, and industry events.
