We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers! As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging learning environment for children. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing activities that align with our curriculum and educational standards, as well as supporting children in reaching important milestones. You will also assist with schoolwork, remote learning, and completing observations.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities based on our curriculum.
Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children and families.
Provide active supervision and support during activities.
Communicate regularly with children, parents, and staff to meet the needs of all students.
Assist children with completing assignments and remote learning tasks.
Help monitor the children's progress and development, including completing observations.
Substitute Teachers are typically scheduled based on availability and may be called upon to cover shifts due to teacher absences. You will receive your schedule the Friday before the upcoming week, and there may be opportunities for additional hours if you have more availability. While lesson plans will be provided, flexibility and creativity are key in responding to the day's needs.
Hours for this position may vary depending on enrollment and program needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children in a teaching or instructor capacity (non-school related is acceptable).
Familiarity with early childhood education concepts and curriculum.
Prior experience in a childcare setting.
Experience planning and delivering lessons.
Ability to engage and interact positively with parents and caregivers.
Understanding of positive discipline techniques.
Flexibility to work with varying schedules.
Skills (preferred but not required):
Knowledge of child development and early learning standards.
Strong customer service skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
